Deshaun Watson's disciplinary hearing is over: What's next?

The three-day disciplinary hearing that will ultimately decide Deshaun Watson’s punishment by the NFL concluded Thursday, but it looks like we could be weeks away from a decision.

The hearing was in front of former federal judge Sue L. Robinson, who is the league's disciplinary officer approved by both the NFL and the players association. After the hearing, Robinson asked both the NFL and the players association to submit written briefs to her laying out their side by July 11, according to multiple reports. The Browns, who acquired Watson from the Texans in a trade in March, open training camp July 27, so a decision likely will come down sometime in the middle of July.
