Despite the Sunday night loss to the Chiefs, the performance and promise of Deshaun Watson left a positive impression.
The rookie quarterback threw five touchdown passes and no interceptions, racked up 261 passing yards and another 31 on the ground. The Texans fell by eight, but Watson guided the offense to a third straight game with a 30-point output.
"Every game is a learning experience for him," head coach Bill O'Brien said. "I really think he's an excellent young quarterback. He kept competing right until the end. He's a great kid. He's a lot of fun to coach and he's obviously got a great future.
