When the Texans hired Nick Caserio to be their general manager, they had a glorious press conference, with Cal McNair front and center with Caserio. That day, McNair tried to be a human being. There were talks about the ice bucket challenges—a meme from seven years ago—golf games, fake tears, Daddy Loves You Lots, and assertions about how Jack Easterby has a lot to offer the Houston Texans without defining what he actually offers the Texans. Cal looked dull, lifeless, robotic, and imbecilic. He was a dullard throughout the presser, and that’s putting it nicely.
