Brian Flores, who has had two interviews with the Texans for their vacant head coaching position, filed a class action lawsuit against the NFL and the New York Giants on Tuesday, claiming racial discrimination in the hiring process for NFL coaches.
In part of the lawsuit, Flores alleges that his interview with the Giants last week was a sham, because the team already had decided it was going to hire Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll for the job. The NFL's Rooney Rule requires teams to interview at least two minority candidates before making a hire.
