Akeem Hunt adds 'juice' to Texans' running game

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- With a decisive style and a burst of acceleration, Akeem Hunt provided a boost Sunday to the Texans' running game.

Promoted from the practice squad Saturday when backup running back Jonathan Grimes didn't make the trip due to an illness, Hunt rushed for 52 yards on eight carries with a long run of 17 yards.

All of his carries came in the second half of a 24-21 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The speedy undrafted free agent from Purdue had a 33-yard run called back due to a holding penalty on offensive tackle Chris Clark.
