AFC South highly improved after first round of NFL draft

The weak got stronger in the AFC South on Thursday.

Jacksonville and Tennessee, two of the worst teams in the league last season, improved glaring weaknesses in the first round of the draft.

Indianapolis, which finished second to the Texans, also selected a player who should become an instant starter.

Picking fifth overall, the Jaguars (5-11 last season) bolstered their secondary by selecting Florida State cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

The Titans (3-13) had traded the first overall pick to St. Louis for a plethora of draft choices. Tennessee moved from 15th to eighth in a trade with Cleveland and selected Michigan State offensive tackle Jack Conklin.
