Aaron Colvin has rough start to 2nd season with Texans

NEW ORLEANS – Aaron Colvin shook his head in frustration and disappointment in January when the veteran Texans cornerback was a healthy scratch for a playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

And Colvin's rocky first season with the Texans after signing a four-year, $34 million contract that included $18 million guaranteed didn't lead to a smoother start to his second year with the defending AFC South champions.

In the first game of the season, Colvin allowed a pair of touchdown passes to New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees in the second half as the 12-time Pro Bowl passer connected twice with Colvin trailing in coverage to manufacture a second-half comeback for the victory.
