2021 NFL Free Agency: Houston Texans Sign Safety Terrence Brooks to a One-Year Contract

The Texans continued their busy first day of free agency tampering with another signing, this time addressing their secondary depth.

According to sources, former Patriots safety Terrence Brooks is agreeing to a one-year contract with the Houston Texans for $2 million.

Brooks, 29, was a third round pick back in 2014 and has played for the Ravens, Eagles, Jets and Patriots.

He and Nick Caserio’s timelines overlapped in New England the past two seasons, which likely explains why Caserio and the front office agreed to this deal.

Brooks played in 14 games last season for the Patriots, starting two, and recording 28 tackles.
