The most valuable free agent the Texans have is D.J. Reader. The phenomenal run defender started off the season hot as a pass rusher, doing something he had never done before, only for it to taper off as the season progressed. The Texans’ pass defense was bad for the second year again. That’s where the focus lies this offseason. With that need, and the imminent Deshaun Watson and Laremy Tunsil extensions (?)—who has any idea what’s going to happen there now—the Texans paying $10+ million for an interior wall who may or not maybe a Bill O’Brien guy is a difficult decision to make.
