The NFL schedule for next season has just been released, so here are the three biggest match-ups for the Houston Texans heading into their 2014 schedule:

Sunday, October 5th at Dallas Cowboys

The battle of Texas will be waged in the House That Jerry Built, in just the fourth meeting ever between these two Lone Star State franchises.

The Texans' lone victory in this brief series was way back in September of 2002, so it would be a huge feather in the helmets of the Texans if they can go into one of the most imposing new stadiums in the world and win one for the City of Houston.

Sunday, November 2nd vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Call the Eagles "Texans West," with a roster completely littered with former Texans players.

However, the biggest thing about this interconference match-up is the kind of visibility and momentum the Texans can take from beating a vogue Super Bowl title contender in the friendly confines of NRG Stadium.

Sunday, December 14th at Indianapolis Colts

Whoever is tabbed as the Texans' newest franchise quarterback will have plenty to deal with facing Andrew Luck twice over the course of the 2014 regular season.

However, the Indianapolis Colts are the current measuring stick in the division -- so, if the Texans want to regain their perch atop the AFC South, they will have to overcome the Luck of the Colts in order to do so.
