A defensive rebound by Hall of Fame Rockets center Hakeem Olajuwon kicked off the sequence, followed by a pass to Scott Brooks, who hit Horry streaking up up the left side of the court on the fast break. Horry took off toward the rim from just inside the paint, attempting to posterize Bulls Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen in the process. The two-handed slam bounced off the rim initially, before Horry corralled the ball and dunked it with his right hand.

The dunk ultimately didn't count, as Horry hung on the rim prior to finishing the slam.
