They had been prepared to celebrate and delighted with every moment. But before long, there did not seem to be much of a point.
All the emotion the Sixers and the packed house at Wells Fargo Center had poured into the game turned into a happy wait for the Sixers to finish off their romp of the Rockets, cruising through a fourth quarter spent with starters on the bench before the 121-93 pounding of the Rockets was complete.
