It’s been 22 years since Scottie Pippen and Charles Barkley were teammates with the Houston Rockets, but that is one wound that time won’t heal.
In a Tyler Tynes article published by GQ on Thursday, Pippen called out Barkley’s toughness and said “I ain’t never seen him fight a Black man unless there were referees around.”
Pippen and Barkley played together for one season with the Rockets and things didn’t go well. After the Rockets were booted from the 1999 playoffs by the Lakers in the first round, Pippen wanted out and the Rockets granted his wish by trading him to Portland.
