Though Ryan Anderson did show off a few drives off the dribble at the Rockets’ annual open practice on Monday, he generally does the same things he always has. His value is never far removed from his shooting range.
He can, however, be described differently than in his previous two seasons with the Rockets or the previous 11 seasons of his NBA career.
In his second tour with the Rockets, he might be most accurately called “Center Ryan Anderson.”
“I think so,” Anderson said. “It’s definitely a role we talked about here. I think it’s something I can be really effective at.
