On his way to 41 scoring 41 points to lead the Rockets past the Lakers on Thursday, Rockets guard Russell Westbrook topped 20,000 points for his career, crossing that milestone in his hometown, to move him to give thanks.
“That’s an unbelievable accomplishment, something that I cherish, something that I will remember,” Westbrook said.
“I can’t give anybody the thanks but the man above for allowing me to just go out and compete every night. Thankful for being healthy. Thankful for so much, so many great teammates and different things. Thanks to the man above for allowing me go out and compete and the rest I try to take care of.
