DALLAS - The Mavericks already had a good idea of what they had in rookie Luka Doncic before he took apart the Rockets in the final minutes. On Saturday, he made that clear.
After a 1 of 9 start, he made 6 of 8 shots the rest of the way, including a burst in which he outscored the Rockets, 11-0, in less than two minutes to take over and win the game.
"It was something special," Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said. "It is pretty clear that he has a special flare for the moment and he is not afraid.
