Rockets, Troy Williams agree to three-year deal

The Rockets reached agreement with forward Troy Williams on a three-year deal, a person with knowledge of the deal said on Thursday. The individual spoke on the condition of anonymity because the agreement had not been announced.

Williams, who signed with the Rockets last season while playing for the team's NBA Development League (now NBA G League) affiliate, played six games with the Rockets, averaging 9.7 points in 23.2 minutes per game. He made 50 percent of his shots and 38.1 percent of his 3s.

Williams, a 6-7 forward from Kansas, was featured as a go-to scorer with the Rockets' summer league team, averaging 22 points in 26.
