Rockets trim rotation, but names could change

The Rockets cut back their rotation to nine players on Friday with Kenneth Faried and Austin Rivers, who had been playing regularly and even long minutes when the Rockets were shorthanded not playing at all. That could change.

Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni said he wants to have a nine-player rotation in the playoffs to spread out enough time to his reserves to be their best. But he said who will play down the stretch in the regular season will be “fluid."
