The Rockets snapped a 12-game losing streak and secured two of their most impressive wins of the season this week. Here's what we saw:
Rockets at Nuggets (Friday)
I thought this game could end up becoming a win with reigning MVP Nikola Jokic out, but I forgot that a center doesn't actually have to be a superstar to look like one when playing the Rockets. In filling in for Jokic, DeMarcus Cousins, the former Rocket, scored 31 points on 10-for-14(!) shooting, to go along with nine rebounds in just 23 minutes(!). I'll be completely honest. Before I turned the game on, I didn't even realize the 12-year vet was on the Nuggets.
