BOSTON - The Rockets as expected signed center/forward Jeff Green for the balance of the season on Friday after he had completed the 10-day contract he had signed with the team Feb. 18
In four games with the Rockets, Green has averaged 9.8 points on 70 percent shooting, hitting 61.5 percent of his 3-pointers, along with 3.5 rebounds per game. He had been playing 19.3 minutes per game as P.J. Tucker’s primary backup.
“I really like Jeff,” Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni said. “He fits exactly what we need. Athletic. He can guard on the perimeter, guard bigs, hit 3s, run the floor.
