Rockets, severely shorthanded, fall short to Pelicans

NEW ORLEANS – It turns out James Harden will keep his job. Remarkable as the makeshift Rockets playing so severely shorthanded with three starters out were for much longer than many would have expected, they came up a quarter short.

The Pelicans rallied and then rolled through the fourth quarter, surging past the Houston Role Players, and to a 127-112 win, giving the Pelicans a four-game winning streak, all against teams with winning records.

The Rockets arrived in New Orleans shorthanded, but reduced their forces greatly after they got there. Harden sat out a game for the first time this season with a sprained toe on his right foot.
