Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta called James Harden "truly the best player in the NBA" on a guest appearance on CNBC's Power Lunch broadcast from Toyota Center on Friday. Fertitta, whose show "Billion Dollar Buyer" airs on CNBC specifically cited Harden's leadership and role with the franchise after Harden joined him on the set at the end of the two-hour broadcast.
Fertitta cited Harden's play last season as unprecedented in NBA history. Though he did not cite the accomplishment he had in mind, Harden was the first player in league history with 2,000 points, 900 assists and 600 rebounds in a season.
