Rockets make James Ennis signing official

James Ennis III wasted little time making it official.

Two days after agreeing to a two-year, $3.4 million with the Rockets, Ennis was in Houston on Friday to take his physical and sign his contract. He became the fourth free agent inked by the Rockets this month, following Chris Paul and Gerald Green choosing to return and Michael Carter-Williams joining the Rockets backcourt.

Ennis, 28, has played for four teams in his four NBA seasons, averaging 6.4 points on 45.5 percent shooting, 35.8 percent shooting from the 3-point line.

A GOOD FIT: James Ennis sees a good transition to Rockets

“I just feel it’s the right place for me just because they are a top five team,” Ennis said.
