Rockets' James Harden's scoring spree reminds Lakers coach Luke Walton of Kobe Bryant

Though Rockets guard James Harden has been on a run that has been nearly unprecedented, as Lakers coach Luke Walton marveled at Harden's scoring spree he said it reminded him of a similar stretch that he watched up close.

Kobe Bryant averaged 43.4 points in January 2006 when Walton was a Lakers teammate. Harden's run of 18 consecutive games (going into Saturday's game) scoring at least 30 points, the longest streak since Wilt Chamberlain's 20-game run in the 1963-64 season, began when Harden scored 50 against the Lakers. It is one of his three 50-point games and 11 games scoring at least 40.
