Rockets guard James Harden, mired in a protracted shooting slump, was listed as questionable to play against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday with a bruised left thigh. He was hurt in the second half on Friday in a collision with Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns, leaving the game for 6 ½ minutes before returning to play through the fourth quarter.
In his past nine games following a four-day break in the schedule, Harden has averaged 27.3 points on 33.3 percent shooting and 22.3 percent 3-point shooting. Prior to that stretch, he had made at least half of his shots in seven consecutive games, the longest stretch of 50 percent shooting in his career.
