With his scoring spree stretching into seven games, Rockets guard James Harden was named Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday for a second consecutive week and the 24th time in his eight seasons with the Rockets.
Harden averaged 44.8 points on 45.8 percent shooting, 40 percent 3-point shooting with 5.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 2.3 steals per game as Rockets went 4-0.
His 49 points against the Timberwolves on Saturday, in the second half of a back-to-back, were the most ever scored by a Rockets player against the Timberwolves. He had 44 the night before against the Pacers.
