Rockets GM fiercely defends Jalen Green after ugly Round 1 performance

Jalen Green delivered some of his worst performances of the 2024-25 season at the most inopportune times, logging single-digit scoring efforts in four of the Houston Rockets' seven postseason games against the Golden State Warriors. Green's lackluster effort led to a wave of criticism from fans and media, including ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, who called on Green to "pack his bags" for an expected offseason trade. However, it doesn't seem like Houston's brass wants Green to prepare any luggage quite yet.

"Jalen didn't have the series that he wanted to have, or we didn't," Rockets general manager Rafael Stone said Monday at his end-of-season press conference at Toyota Center.
