Rafael Stone was brief Tuesday when explaining his belief in the pairing of Jalen Green and Alperen u015eengün.
"One's a guard and one's a center, so that's nice," Stone said during his end-of-year meeting with the media at Toyota Center. "Fundamentally, I feel like great players can play with great players. And they're not positionally similar."
Stone's sentiment was echoed by head coach Ime Udoka, who was quick to note Green's strong end-of-season run started before u015eengün exited the lineup with a season-ending ankle injury on March 10. Green and u015eengün appear almost-guaranteed to both be in the starting lineup when Houston kicks off Year 2 under Udoka in October.
