Houston Rockets coach Stephen Silas announced Monday forward Jae'Sean Tate will be out for a significant stretch due to a right ankle injury.
Tate will be re-evaluated in "two-to-three weeks," per Silas and could be out of the lineup for a longer span as the season rolls through December. The third-year forward has played in just three games this season, and Monday will mark his sixth consecutive missed contest after aggravating a nagging ankle injury against Phoenix on Oct. 30.
Tate, 27, quickly earned minutes as a rookie in 2020-21 after signing with the Rockets as an undrafted free agent.
