Rockets finally grant Kevin Durant his longtime wish

The Houston Rockets gave Kevin Durant a chance to end his career on the franchise he wants to play after the future Hall of Famer made his desire clear last season. He signed a two-year $90 million extension that locks him through 2027 with a player option for the following year. KD asked to be traded to the Rockets and can now stay in Houston through his age-39 season.

Durant was blindsided by the Suns trying to trade in February. He ultimately nixed a deal to the Warriors. KD had more control this summer as he entered the final year of his contract.
