If it wasn't clear in May, the Houston Rockets' rebuild is officially over as of late June. The group of young guns is now led by 15-time All-Star and two-time champion Kevin Durant. General manager Rafael Stone's collection of trade assets has largely been cashed in, and expectations in Houston are clear: compete for the Finals in 2025-26, or consider the upcoming season a lost year.
The Rockets acquired Durant in a blockbuster trade this summer, sending Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, their 2025 first-round pick (No. 10 overall), and five second-round picks to the Phoenix Suns.
