The Houston Rockets are hosting the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The Sharks are owned by Rockets legend Yao Ming. It is the first time a professional team from China is facing an NBA team in the United States.
The Sharks feature center Wu Guanxi, who played for the Rockets in the Samsung NBA Summer League 2016, Guerschon Yabusele, who was the 16th overall pick by Boston in the 2016 NBA Draft, and Jimmer Fredette, who was the 10th overall pick by Milwaukee in the 2011 NBA Draft.
