NEW ORLEANS - Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry did not hold back in his praise of Rockets star James Harden to the point that when he spoke of Harden's ability to "manipulate the rules" and his "trickery" he meant that as a great compliment.
"I think he's the best offensive player out there and I can't think of one, really, over the course of their career that's been better than he's been from the standpoint of being able to put up the kind of numbers he's done and do it efficiently," Gentry said.
"No. 1, he's strong. I mean, he's incredibly strong, a lot stronger than anybody thinks he is.
