More NBA teams have followed suit in evolving their all-female dance teams after the Spurs disbanded the Silver Dancers last May.
Time magazine followed the teams — the Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks — that have all changed their dance squads by either adding male members or moving to an entirely new co-ed troupe.
Franchises such as the Kings and Mavericks said an attempt to be "more inclusive" was part of the motivation for the decision.
Dancers who were affected by the changes are mulling on what the reasoning could be.
