After the dust settled from Tuesday night's scrappy affair between the Rockets and Mavericks in Dallas, Mavericks center Salah Mejri denied the notion that he insulted Trevor Ariza's wife and children.
"There is always 2 sides to every story. I would never insult an opponent's family regardless of how much a player insulted me repeatedly," Mejri said on Twitter.
Between the third and fourth quarters, Ariza snapped at the Mavericks bench and exchanged words with Mejri, prompting his second technical foul of the game and an ejection.
A video being shared on Reddit appears to show Ariza saying "he called my baby a b----" while shouting at the Mavericks bench.
