It's been a while since Kyle Lowry played for the Rockets, but his reflections on his time in Houston and relationship with then-coach Kevin McHale are a bit prescient in the wake of Houston's struggles this season, which led to McHale's firing after 11 games.
"McHale's coaching style is exactly like he played: hard-nosed, rugged, up in your face," Lowry wrote on The Players' Tribune. "It was about team, team, team, and doing whatever it takes to be the best teammate possible.
"I didn't understand his philosophy. It sucks, because he was only trying to help me become a better player.
