James Harden named Player of the Week again

Rockets guard James Harden on Monday was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks after an historic run of scoring.

Harden averaged 54.3 points on 48.5 percent shooting along with nine rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.33 steals. He joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only players to score 55 points or more in consecutive games. He scored 163 points, the third-most points scored in a span of three games in the past 50 years.

Harden's scoring or passing produced an average of 67 points per game as he has accounted for at least 50 points in an NBA record 19-consecutive games.
