Houston Rockets center Alperen u015eengün tweeted Monday he is praying for the victims of a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that rocked parts of Turkey and Syria early Monday morning.
u015eengün, a native of Turkey, added "my heart is with our citizens who were affected by the earthquake in Kahramanmarau015f." The disaster killed more than 2,300 people, per an Associated Press report, with the center of the earthquake residing in Kahramanmarau015f, Turkey's southeastern province.
"The pain we experience is indescribable," u015eengün tweeted. "My prayers, my heart is with our citizens who were affected by the earthquake in Kahramanmarau015f.
