The Houston Rockets aren't exactly shy about their desire to return to relevance in 2023-24.
Both team owner Tilman Fertitta and general manager Rafael Stone highlighted the difficulty of three straight seasons in the Western Conference cellar when speaking with media last week, and Fertitta in particular noted his goal to see the team creep toward playoff contention next season. How exactly can the Rockets' go from 60 losses to (near) .500 in 2023-24? New coach Ime Udoka may have dropped a hint in his opening statements at the Toyota Center.
"A lot of things were very attractive about this job," Udoka said.
