Houston Rockets fans — he was born Anthony Leon Tucker and now he can be tagged with the moniker of the artist formerly known as P.J. Tucker. Just like Prince! Tucker gets the name P.J. from his father who was a former baseball player.
P.J.’s father’s nickname was “Pops” because of the way the ball sounded coming off the bat. Eventually the nickname became “Pops Junior,” which is how the derivative of P.J. coming about. I actually like his birth name of Anthony Tucker but to each his own.
