With Trevor Ariza suffering a back injury Tuesday night in Brooklyn, the Houston Rockets have recalled second year forward K.J. McDaniels from the D-League.
Having only played 36 minutes with the Rockets this season, and only four games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, there’s not a large enough sample size for an honest measure of McDaniels’ current level of play.
In his four games with the Vipers, McDaniels has averaged 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks.

Before he was traded to Houston last season, many considered McDaniels to be one of the top rookies.
