Rockets coach Ime Udoka now has a new leading man in Houston as he prepares for his first season with the franchise in 2023-24.
Houston has agreed to a three-year, $130 million deal with former Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. VanVleet will reportedly earn just over $43 million per year in Houston, marking the first maximum contract of the summer. Previous reports concerning a potential contract noted VanVleet was likely to earn a two-year deal with the Rockets, though that likely extended to a third year thanks to a late push from Toronto.
