Amid much hoopla, Dwight Howard was welcomed to the Rockets' "Legacy of Bigs" nearly three years ago, joining the group of franchise titans who dominated the paint.
With Howard now gone from Houston after what could charitably be described as a disappointing three-season run in red and white, the "Legacy of Bigs" apparently is now no longer a selling a point.
Workers were taking down the "Legacy of Bigs" banner from the Toyota Center parking garage Friday.
The banner featured Howard and Rockets legends Hakeem Olajuwon, Moses Malone, Elvin Hayes, Yao Ming and Ralph Sampson. The latter five have all been voted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, with Yao to be inducted this fall.
