Dillon Brooks praised his former coach Ime Udoka on Thursday morning, reflecting on his two-season bond with the hard-nosed, foul-mouthed leader of the Houston Rockets.
Brooks, who was traded from Houston to the Phoenix Suns in June, teamed up with Udoka and Rockets point guard Fred VanVleet to overhaul a losing team's broken culture prior to the 2023-24 season. Brooks quickly formed a mind meld with Udoka. He said after Suns shootaround Friday he and Udoka both have a "no bulls--t mentality," adding he views Udoka as "one of my good friends.
