Lanny Smith's life has intersected with Houston basketball in each phase of his winding journey to date. Sunday will mark a culmination of sorts.
Smith, the founder of apparel company and lifestyle brand Actively Black, will be at Toyota Center on Sunday for the launch of a new collaboration between Actively Black and the Houston Rockets. The collaboration is something Smith views as a personal milestone.
"You never forget where you came from," Smith told Chron in a recent interview. "My story started here, I saw my dreams for the world grow here, and now it's kind of a full circle thing, seeing this brand now partnering with the team I spent so much time watching and cheering for and emulating growing up.
