Rockets Rumors: LeBron James free agency update, Rockets waiting on call?

In today's Rockets rumors and news update, the Houston Rockets could be putting their current plans in free agency on hold until they receive word about a potential face-to-face meeting with Miami Heat superstar LeBron James.

Per Cindy Boren of the Washington Post, "James has had a subterranean profile since opting out of his Miami Heat contract on June 24, preferring to vacation while his Cleveland-based agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, talks to teams. And Paul has been busy, meeting (via ESPN) with the Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers."

With step one out of the way, the Houston Rockets join the other aforementioned teams and the Miami Heat when it comes to both predicting and waiting for LeBron's next move:

With reports surfacing that New York Knicks free agent Carmelo Anthony might be focused on the Los Angeles Lakers and a return to New York as his two most likely options, the Houston Rockets can safely redirect some of their focus to James.

Whether or not James is truly willing to walk away from Miami is an entirely different beast altogether.
