Rockets Rumors: LeBron James free agency, a new Big Three in Houston?

In today's look into Rockets rumors, fans everywhere are counting down to the beginning of the NBA free agency period on July 1st at 12:01am - especially those fans who root for teams such as the Houston Rockets who can theoretically afford to land a marquee name such as LeBron James.

House of Houston writer Mario Hicks thinks that the Rockets present an attractive option for James, citing two potential scenarios which, albeit unlikely with James' current leanings towards Miami, could be feasible.

One would have James teaming up with Dwight Howard and James Harden cold turkey, with James coming to Houston based solely on the chance to win with the Rockets' young nucleus.

The other would be a sign-and-trade which would send James Harden to the Heat for James - prompting Carmelo Anthony to sign with the Rockets in free agency to create a Super Three of Melo, LeBron, and Howard.

While both are intriguing options, everything is currently speculative at this point - so stay cautiously optimistic and enjoy the ride when free agency officially begins on Tuesday morning.
