The Houston Dynamo have selected Tommy McNamara in the second stage of the MLS Re-Entry Draft

The Houston Dynamo have had a busy offseason as they recently traded for defender Chris Duvall and now have picked up versatile midfielder Tommy McNamara in the second stage of the MLS Re-Entry Draft. With the selection, the Dynamo have acquired the rights to negotiate a contract with McNamara ahead of the 2019 MLS season.

McNamara was originally taken in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft by the now defunct Chivas USA and was picked up by New York City FC in the 2015 Expansion Draft. A fan favorite of NYCFC, McNamara scored 13 goals between 2015 and 2018 in 86 appearances with the Bronx Blues.
