The RGV FC Toros travel to Merlo Field, on the campus of the University of Portland, this evening for a midweek clash with Portland Timbers 2.
RGV enters the game with a four-game unbeaten streak after last Wednesday’s thrilling 4-4 draw in Carson, Calif. against Los Angeles Galaxy II. The Toros trailed 2-0 going into the final 15 minutes of the game until forward Michael Salazar scored a brace in a two-minute span. Forward Carlos Small followed with a go-ahead goal after he cleaned up a shot from midfielder Jesus Enriquez that deflected off both the Galaxy goalkeeper and crossbar.
