The Houston Dynamo saw their run in the MLS is Back Tournament come to an end after a 1-1 draw with the LA Galaxy tonight at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
The Dynamo led for much of the game before a stoppage-time penalty allowed the Galaxy to equalize. Needing a win to advance in the tournament, Houston had three outstanding chances to retake the lead in stoppage time. Forward Ronaldo Peña’s headed shot off of a cross from forward Nico Lemoine in the 93rd minute carried just over the crossbar, then a shot from midfielder Tomás Martínez from the top of the penalty area slide just wide of the far post in the 94th.
